Minks Estate is proudly located in the Riverina Region of New South Wales in Australia. Riverina wine makers produce one in every four glasses of Australian wine.

While the Hunter Valley is the most well-known wine region, it’s the Riverina (centred on the city of Griffith) that is the oldest and largest wine producing region in New South Wales.

The Riverina’s viticultural history dates back to the early 1900s and was introduced by European Settlers. It’s now home to more than 15 wineries and is responsible for 15% of Australia’s total grape production.

The region is also recognised as the national leader for its proactive approach to environmental management and on the Australian Government’s Environmental Stewardship Programme to ensure sustainable production.

Most of the wineries in the Riverina are family-owned and operated, producing wine on a relatively large scale. Due to its large Italian population, the Riverina has a strong food and wine culture
